Graphic Designer

As a Graphic Designer, you will work closely with our Production, Marketing and e-Church teams on a wide range of campaigns & projects. You will offer support using your experience in the area of graphic artistry, social media & multimedia to develop marketing materials that will be used in promotions to the community to increase visibility & participation in our programs, services and events.

General Responsibilities

  • You will work directly with the Production Lead, Marketing Coordinator, eChurch Coordinator and Outreach Team on a wide range of projects and campaigns. 

  • You will offer support using your experience in the area of graphic artistry, social media and multimedia. 

  • You will be responsible for creating marketing materials that will be used in conjunction with your design of social media campaigns and promotions that are strategic in the promotion of community-based initiatives, services and events and increase our program offering visibility to increase participation.

  • You will also collaborate with the Family Ministries Team to design promotional materials that align with the summer/fall digital programming campaign.

  • You will also collaborate with the Event Coordinator to create promotional elements for all community programs, initiatives and events.

  • You will assist with the coordination and placement of advertising and promotions in both traditional and non-traditional advertising mediums as recommended by the Marketing Coordinator.

Job Must Haves

  • In-depth knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, twitter, YouTube & Microsoft Excel. 

  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, strong editing skills & attention to details. 

  • Interest/knowledge in new media communications, marketing, advertising & social media.

  • Drive growth of monthly readers/followers/subscribers & develop social media strategy.

  • Experience in graphic design or visual arts, photography and photo manipulation.

  • Ability to work individually and in a team environment, enthusiastic, creative and willing to learn.

  • Content & campaign creation: writing social media content, and generating ideas for longer form content that others will create, like blog posts, videos, influencer campaigns, etc.

  • Must be available to work evenings & weekends as needed.


Guidelines for Summer Employment Eligibility

  Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment

  ​Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment

  ​Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations
