"Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience." Colossians 3:12
The origin of compassion is the essence of God. To be compassionate is to be moved inwardly. We are called to be compassionate in our Christian walk. Every day we see people who are in need. We hear about them on the news, in our schools, communities, and more. Yet in today's world, it has become so easy to consider those in need invisible.
Compassion goes beyond ourselves and extends to those around us. It is the posture of our heart. Compassion is something that we cannot build up ourselves but comes from having a heart like God. Compassion takes courage, yet it is powerful and brings life!
Let us be encouraged to show more compassion this week!
