"My only aim is to finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me." Acts 20:24
Our walk with God is a journey where God's purpose and plans for our lives are released. This journey becomes difficult and frustrating at times. When we face adversity, most of us find it challenging to continue our walk and want to throw in the towel. We have come to accept incomplete as status quo because of the tough moments; but I believe that in those moments, we need to be devoted to completing the task.
God is the author and finisher of our faith, He still has much to write on the story of our hearts. God is more focused on what He has started within us and has given each of us the capacity to endure the journey and be devoted to completing the task.
We must be determined to never give up! What He has started, He is faithful and will complete it. Walking through this journey called life has everything to do with persisting through hard times. James 1:2 tells us to count it pure joy whenever we face trials of many kinds because we know the testing of our faith produces perseverance. As you continue walking, remember you are walking with God. He leads us beside still waters! He will never leave us nor forsake us! He calms the raging seas in our souls!
Real character and real faith takes place in the trenches, so don't stop now! Keep walking and focus on your aim to finish the race and complete the task that the Lord has given you!
