"But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. -Matthew 6:33
Part of having a balanced life is having our priorities in order. Our priorities reveal what's really important to us. In Matthew 6:33, the bible encourages us to seek God and His kingdom first. Once we have placed God as our priority, everything falls into place.
Think about it. How much of our time is spent building up our personal relationship with God versus the time we spend for our own pleasures?
As Minister Adrian put it, good things take us away from God things. The good things are not bad, we should celebrate the things God has blessed us with, but not allow those things to consume us.
Assess your priorities. Focus on what is eternal rather than temporal. When we have placed God as a priority, we feel much satisfaction. Matthew 6:19-21, it tells us not to store up ourselves with the treasures of this earth, for where our treasure is, there are heart will be also.
Don't settle for good enough; take hold of what God has in store for you. Make Christ your priority today that He may be the central focus of your life and you can live out a balanced life!
