As the Video Technician, you will work closely with the Production Director on a wide range of online video & podcast content. You will also work with the Capture team to use video, audio & picture content for projects.

General Responsibilities

  • You will work directly with the Production Director on a wide range of online video and podcast content. 

  • You will work with the Capture Team, Graphic Designer & Audio Technician to use video, audio, picture and graphical content for initiatives, projects & events. 

  • You will use your education in film studies, cinematography, graphic artistry, social media, multimedia and experience with digital technology and editing software to manipulate and edit film, trim footage segments and put together sequences of content.

  • You will input music, dialogue, graphics, tags and effects creating rough and final cuts of the video.

  • You will consult stakeholders from production to the post-production process.

  • You will continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry best practices to maximize efficiency and quality of content.

  • You will also be collaborating with the Marketing Coordinator to ensure that the content for advertising and promotions in both traditional and non-traditional advertising mediums is consistent with the organization’s brand.

Job Must Haves

  • Proven knowledge and experience working with film, video and or digital media for release to the internet. 

  • Knowledge and experience working with Video equipment (cameras, lighting, sets, etc.). 

  • Troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

  • Time-management and organizational skills.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Detail-oriented and efficient.

  • Ability and willingness to lead and train volunteers.

  • Knowledge and experience working with ProPresenter (preferred but not required).

  • Knowledge and experience working with Ableton and audio interfaces.

Guidelines for Summer Employment Eligibility

  Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
